NFRW/T (Egyptian - good/beautiful/perfect)
Our Ancestors' Spirituality honored the duality of feminine and masculine energies present in elements of nature, originating in Egypt since 3150 BC before European colonization sought to eradicate and discredit our culture. NFRW/T proves that Nature should be revered and our connection to this duality aka "Queerness" or "Gender Expansiveness" is our return to Source Energy. Artists embody these elements by performing Aerial, Dance and Spoken-word set to Afro-Diasporic music including Afrobeats, Vogue, Waacking, and House. This was ANKOLE's third production performed for the 2nd Annual International Black Indigenous Circus Week and was one of the BIPOC New Work Track grant recipients. NFRW/T successfully made its international debut in Sydney, Australia at the 3rd Annual QTopia Sydney PRIDE FEST June 2026 during their INTERSECTIONS weekend which highlighted Queer Artists of Color.

Amidst the harm and violence inflicted upon us, the threats to silence our voices, even our existence, there are times to armor up and fight yet, there are also times to rest, laugh, play, find joy in the little things...to be with our intimate partner(s), chosen family and dearest friends. In honor of Black History Month and Valentine's Day, acts speak black love and queer resilience while paying homage to our fore-parents who acquired wealth and great prestige in the Circus industry. Blending Circus, dance and live music, IFE` promises to lift your spirits and bring a smile to your heart.
PONYA (Swahili - heal,cure)
PONYA highlights Western medicine's stigmatization of Afro-Diasporic bodies and Queer identities. When asking for a cure to eliminate one's dis-ease, how does one trust a medical model designed to cause more harm than good? Artists heal both ancestral and present-day trauma sharing hard-truths in a liberating performance.
